Finding a good book on rural ministry written by someone in rural ministry is hard to find.

Glenn Daman is a rural pastor and has been for many years. He does a great job giving us a clear picture of the rural church. He is an American, writing from that perspective, though it is applicable in many ways to the rural church anywhere. His descriptions of the reality of the rural community and the rural church are backed up with solid research. Again, though it is U.S. statistics, the general picture applies to us in Canada, and around the world.
His main thesis is that the urban church would do well not to forget the rural church, even forging relationships with rural churches and learning from each other.
